Semla cake - Semmelkladdkaka

Ingredients

Dough

  • 375g butter

  • 2 tsp cardamom

  • 300g almond flour

  • 300g powdered sugar

  • 270g flour

  • 3 tsp vanilla sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 9 eggs


Garnish

  • 300ml whipped cream

  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Zubereitung

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C.

  2. Melt the butter.

  3. In a bowl, mix the cardamom, almond flour, powdered sugar, wheat flour, vanilla sugar, and salt.

  4. Stir in the eggs.

  5. Add the butter and mix until you have a smooth dough.

  6. Pour the dough into a baking pan (approx. 40 x 30 cm) lined with baking paper or greased and floured.

  7. Bake in the middle of the oven for 20–25 minutes.

  8. Remove and let cool.


For Garnishing

  1. Whip the cream, fill it into a piping bag, and spread it over the cake.

  2. Dust with powdered sugar.
