Lussekatter, also known as "Lucia cats", are a traditional Swedish pastry typically served at Christmas time. The name "Lussekatter" is derived from "Lucia", the Queen of Lights, who is celebrated in Sweden on December 13th. The buns are soft, sweet and slightly spicy thanks to the saffron.
